The Board must engage in conversations with the Community on a regular basis. We must restart holding "linkage" listening sessions with community stakeholders.

Fully fund special education. Do not make parents shoulder the burden. Engage parents in their children's services.

As the parent of a band student and a former concert, jazz, and marching band student, Aspen believes in the difference the performing arts can make in the lives of students. 

Aspen is deeply committed to sustainability and environmental policy. They were an active leader in Board-District-Community conversations during creation of the Board's first-ever sustainability policy,  and Aspen will bring that same passion and sustainability leadership to the Board.

Financial oversight of the District is the responsibility of the Board. The community expects and our students deserve a high level of services, even in challenging financial times.

The needs of all children must be met

Civics in twelfth grade is too late. We need to re-examine how and when to teach civics in our schools.

Enrollment trends and state legislative action determine district revenue. Planning for operational levies, technology levies, new and renovated buildings, and ????

Teachers are passionate about bringing knowledge to our children. Let us center their voices and listen to them about what they need and how to educate better. Aspen values the expertise of educators and will ??????
